Silica Competent Person training as required by the new OSHA Silica Standard for 2017. Although Federal OSHA doesn't begin citing companies until September 23, 2017, Virginia OSHA began enforcing the standard on June 23, 2017.  Although only one competent person is required, we are recommending that all superintendents complete the training. 5-Hour class room training plus a written test.
